Listing films and vertical reels
Filmed in Chicago. Edited for agents anywhere.
MFV RE shoots listing films and reels on site in the Chicago area and edits the footage agents supply everywhere else, cut for the MLS, the listing sites and social.
What you receive
- A listing film of 60 to 120 seconds, horizontal, with a 4K master and a 1080p delivery file.
- An unbranded cut for MLS virtual tour fields and a branded cut for your site and social.
- Vertical reels of 15 to 45 seconds at 1080 by 1920, captions burned in.
- Stills pulled from the footage for stories and thumbnails.
The look
Warm grading, golden-hour exteriors where the schedule allows, and short serif captions over the footage that tell a buyer what they are seeing: the room, the light, the detail that matters. It is the style Montserrat uses on her own listing reels.
Bring your own footage
Outside the Chicago area, you or your local videographer film and we edit. Before the shoot we send a shot list. The short version:
- Horizontal 4K for the film; vertical for reels. Shoot both if you can.
- Slow, steady moves. Walk through each room once, then hold on its best detail.
- Natural light, lamps on, blinds open, clutter out.
- Exteriors at golden hour if the schedule allows.
- Upload original files, not phone-compressed copies.
We need the videographer's permission to edit and publish their footage.
Drone and 3D tours
We coordinate with the drone or 3D tour provider you choose and fold their work into the kit. Flights depend on weather and airspace rules.
Questions about video
How long should a listing film be?
Most of ours run 60 to 120 seconds. Reels run 15 to 45 seconds. We cut both from the same shoot.
Why an unbranded version?
Most MLSs require virtual tour links to carry no agent branding, so we deliver an unbranded cut for the MLS and a branded cut for everything else.
Can I send my own footage?
Yes. Horizontal 4K for the film, vertical for reels, slow steady moves and natural light. We send a shot list before you film.
Do you fly drones?
We coordinate drone work with the provider you choose. Flights depend on weather and airspace rules.
Where are shoots available?
In the Chicago area. Everywhere else we edit the footage you supply.
